Air Connection to Cat Sense:
The Cat Sense is supplied with a 1/4" Mini Regulator # 8405-2-1. The air pressure at
the regulator should be set at the recommended low pressure of between 10 and 30 psi
(1 - 2 bar) to allow the correct operation of the Cat Sense and audible alarm system.
Warning: Never exceed 70 psi (6 bar) or the Magnetic Switch (6502) will be
damaged.
1. Mount the Mini Regulator assembly at a convenient position on the machine frame
or cabinet, and plumb into the machine’s air circuit as follows:
2. Taking note of the directional flow arrow on the regulator body, connect the output
from the regulator to the 4mm blue translucent air supply pipe on the Cat Sense using
the inline 4mm push fit fitting (PTU-04-4MM) supplied.
3. The Mini Regulator and Cat Sense should be supplied from the
machine’s start
signal or gun on signal (signal from the front of the gun actuator) - Review the air circuit
for the particular machine model that you wish to connect the Cat Sense to prior to
connection.
It must be emphasized that with the Cat
Sense installed, the moment the machine’s
start switch is activated the unit will alarm as there will be a slight pause before the
actual catalyst flow is established. - This is normal.
