Air Cylinder Disassembly:
NOTE: Refer to the drawing for part numbers
1. Remove all items (couplings, connectors, slave arms and rod ends) from both the
Piston Rod ends.
2. Remove the five (5) Hex Nuts (F-HN-06F) from the Tie Rods.
NOTE: Which End Cap you remove first will depend on how you have the
Powerhead oriented.
3. Pull the Upper/Lower End Cap off the Cylinder, leaving the Piston Rod and Piston
in the Cylinder. It may be necessary to hold the Lower Piston Rod (Piston Rod
sticking through the Lower End Cap).
4. Lift the Cylinder off the Piston and Piston O-ring. Again it may be necessary to
hold the Lower Piston Rod so the Piston and both Piston Rods do not lift with the
Cylinder.
CAUTION: Use care not to scratch the inside of the Cylinder when removing from
the Piston.
5. Remove the Lower Piston Rod and Piston assembly from the Lower End Cap.
6. Using a pair of snap ring pliers, remove the Snap Ring from the Piston Rod
Bushings on both the Upper and Lower End Caps.
7. Remove the Piston Rod Bushing from both End Caps.
8. Replace all O-rings and coat with lithium grease (08465). Coat the inside of the
Cylinder, Piston Rod and Piston Rod Bushing with lithium grease (08465).
