Metering Pump Assembly:
Have the Seal Kit (VHPC-1100-SK) and items that need to be replaced available.
1. Outlet Body: Install the three Rod Seals (VHPC-1110)
into the Outlet Body (VHPC-1117). The Seals should go
o-ring facing down one on top of the other. Push the
stack down into the outlet body.
2. Install Packing Nut (VHPC-1107) into the top of the outlet
body and hand tighten.
3. Thread the Clevis or Bearing block onto the end of the
Piston Rod (VHPC-1118) and position the clevis or
bearing block into the vise with the Piston Rod (VHPC-
1118) facing up.
4. Take the assembled Outlet Body and with a twisting
motion push it onto the Piston Rod. The Packing Nut (VHPC-1107) should go on
first so that it is pointing down. A little force may be required to go through the
seals.
5. With the end of the Piston Rod (VHPC-1118) sticking out of
the outlet body apply a small amount of removable thread
lock to the threads of the piston rod. Install the Spring
(04009-1) into the end of the piston rod. Put the Piston Ball
(9201-1-14) on top of the spring and screw the Piston Body
(VHPC-1111) onto the piston rod. Use caution not to drop the
piston ball as it can become damaged.
6. Slide the Piston Seal (VHPC-1122) onto the piston body with
the cup side facing down. Screw the Seal Retainer (VHPC-
1112) onto the piston body. Remove from the vise and set
aside for now.
