Catalyst Pump Disassembly:
Warning: Never use any type of grease or lubricants on catalyst pump or fittings.
Clean parts in distilled water. Lay parts that will be reused on a clean towel or
rag.
Note: Do not remove fitting body (PAT-CP-0505) from outlet body. It is also
recommended the catalyst jug and screens are cleaned using distilled water. Cut off
½” on the end of ½” poly tubing feed hose which attaches to the catalyst pump inlet
fitting to avoid leaks.
1.
Loosen the jam nut (4101-1-1) from the inlet body (PAT-CP-0202) and then
unscrew the inlet body from the outlet body (PAT-CP-0203).
2.
Un-screw the plastic retaining nut (PAT-CP-0206) from the outlet body (PAT-CP-
0203).
3.
Pull the ball joint linkage and piston rod (PAT-CP- 0208) up through the top of the
outlet body (PAT-CP-0203).
4.
Remove the ball joint linkage and the rod adaptor (PAT-CP-0210) from the piston
rod (PAT-CP-0208) and slide the two cup seals (PAT-CP-0201) and leak spacer
(PAT-CP-0207) from the piston shaft.
5.
Remove the seal retainer (PAT-CP-0213) and piston seal (PAT-CP-0215) from the
piston body (PAT-CP-0212). Remove the piston body, ball (9201-1-4) and spring
(SPR-C-1003) from the piston rod (PAT-CP-0208).
6.
Remove the inlet body tube fitting (4101-8-1) and outlet body hose fitting (51501-1)
7.
Remove from inlet body (PAT-CP-0202) ball (9201-1-7), ball cage (PAT-CP-0209)
and o-ring (O-S-008). A scribe will be needed to remove the ball seat o-ring (O-F-
008).
Wash all parts to be reused with distilled water. Inspect the piston rod and outlet body
for wear.
