Chapter 4: Using the Printer
Inserting checks or cards for imaging (scanning)
Place the checks or cards or other media on the top slip table as shown in the figure below for imaging only.
Slide the media straight forward into the feed rolls until the green slip in light on the top of the printer comes on
Note
The MICR line of a check cannot be read by the MICR reader in this position.

Inserting checks for imaging and check verification
If the MICR line of a check must be verified (read) before scanning, then the check must be inserted at the lower
slip table.
Note
Cards or thick media cannot be inserted at the lower slip table. Slide the media forward and to the right until the
green slip-in light comes on. Then, hold the media to the right and release it as soon as the printer begins to run.
