Introduction
The Ferret 114 ComLink I/R will link both the Ferret 14 GasLink
Emissions Analyzer, and the Ferret 55 EngineLink Analyzer to an
IBM compatible dot matrix printer.
Using the ComLink
™
IR
1. Connect the ComLink to Power.
2. Connect the printer to the ComLink parallel port using a standard
printer cable. The parallel port is located on the top of the
ComLink box.
3. Turn on the ComLink by pressing the Power Button.
4. Make sure the Printer is turned on, on-line, and loaded with
paper.
5. Make sure the I/R ports on both the ComLink and the Ferret 14
or 55 are pointed towards each other. Each I/R port needs to
have a clear and unobstructed view of each other.
Compatible Printers
The Ferret 114 ComLink IR supports printing to many popular IBM
compatible printers. See our website at www.ferretinstruments.com
for the most up to date printer list.
The ComLink relies on character based printing, not graphic based
printing. When the print key is pressed on the Ferret 14 GasLink,
or Ferret 55 EngineLink, the printer will print immediately. If you
cannot locate a local source for the following list of printers, we
can direct you to a mail order company.
