Adaptec program
Easy CD Creator
This program is beneficial for users who work mainly with CD-R. The user needs to
create a CD layout first. (Audio or data CD.) Select a file(s) or audio track(s) from the
upper portion of the screen and drag it/them to the lower portion. Drop the file(s) on the
CD layout, and then write to the CD as the final step.
Direct CD
This program is beneficial for users who work mainly with CD-RW. It allows users to
use the Drag and Drop feature in Windows Explorer to copy and erase data. A CD-RW
needs to be formatted before it is used.

How to correct the ‘buffer under run’ error?
1. Close background programs. Press Ctl + Alt + Del keys to display the Close
program window. Users should close all programs and keep only the three
following programs running:

Adaptec program (Easy CD Creator or Direct CD)
•
Systray
•
Explorer
2. Defrag your hard disk
3. Reduce the write speed.
4. Create a disk image file on the hard disk. Then write a CD using the .
5. disk image.
I cannot play a CD, I just burned, on a car stereo.
Make sure you are using CD-R and that the disk is closed.
I can read CD-RW disks on the CD-RW only.
Make sure the drive supports multi-read.
I cannot hear any sound when using the CD-RW drive to play an audio CD.
The sound will only come out from the headphones or CD Audio out-put on the
back of the CD drive.
