INSTALLATION
The NAWS1 has been designed to be mounted directly onto
either a 2" x 4" (16" on center) wood stud wall, or a concrete
wall.
Locate Mounting Site
WARNING:
IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN LEAD TO
MOUNT FALLING CAUSING SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY
OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! It is the installers
responsibility to make certain the structure to which the
mount is being attached is capable of supporting five times
the weight of the NAWS1 and all attached equipment not to
exceed 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
Proceed to either the Installing to a Wood Stud Wall section
or the Installing to a Concrete Wall section.
Installing to a Wood Stud Wall
WARNING:
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD! CUTTING
OR DRILLING INTO ELECTRICAL CORDS OR CABLES
CAN CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY!
ALWAYS make certain area behind mounting surface is free
of electrical wires and cables before drilling or installing
fasteners.
WARNING:
EXPLOSION AND FIRE HAZARD! CUTTING
OR DRILLING INTO GAS PLUMBING CAN CAUSE DEATH
OR SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY! ALWAYS make certain
area behind mounting surface is free of gas, water, waste, or
any other plumbing before cutting, drilling, or installing
fasteners.

Determine where the NAWS1 should be located on the wall.
NOTE:
The NAWS1 must be attached to two 2" x 4" wood
studs located 16" on center.

Using a level, mark the wall on two studs for the top
mounting holes, and 5" below that for the lower mounting
holes. (See Figure 1)
3.
Drill four 7/32" (5.5mm) pilot holes at points marked in Step
2. (See Figure 1)
4.
Use four 5/16 x 2-1/2" lag bolts (not included) and four 5/16"
flat washers (not included) to attach shelf to wall. (See
Figure 1)

2.
Using a level, mark the wall 16" apart for the two top
mounting holes, and 5" below the top mounting holes for the
two lower mounting holes. (See Figure 2)
