MAINTENANCE - PART II
FLUSHING OUT WATER COOLED MOLD CONTROLLER
You will from time to time need to flush out the water cooling system. Depending on the source
of water used in the cooling system. For example if a cooling tower is used for this cooling you
could need to flush out system more often than if you are using tap water or a water chiller.
We would suggest you do this flushing on a regular maintenance basis of no less than 90 days.
The scaling up of the cooling coil will reduce the efficiency of the cooling system.
You may have an in house descaling system. Keep in mind the cooling coils in the True Mold is
copper tubing and if your descaling system is harmful to copper tubing we would suggest you
contact Schreiber Engineering (562-926-3855) for the proper descaling product.
We are attaching some information on Oakite Solventol 2409, used as a cleaning agent and
Oakite, Enprox 714 a liquid alkaline product for neutralizing acidic solutions prior to disposal.
IMS also has a flushing system, called Line Buster III.
For more information on this system call the
Schreiber service department at (562) 926-3855.
