7. Fan

motors - Air-cooled only, fan motors will run when refrigeration system is

calling for cooling. You can lower the sound level of the fan motors if you add 6' of
open duct to both fans. PLEASE NOTE when the water pump is turning the proper
rotation. the water pump switch must be on in order to check rotation of fan motor.
The refrigeration system will not run unless the water pump switch is in the
on position.

8. Set the solid-state controller to the desired temperature, and also set the alarm

temperature. Keep 5 to 8º F differences between these two temperatures.
Example: f you set the cooling temperature at 50º F, then the unit will cycle at 50º
F + - 1º F. The alarm will sound off at 56º F. CAUTION – Never set the
temperature below 38º F. You could damage the copper evaporator coil. You
must add industrial type antifreeze if you want to run the temperature below 38º F.
You will lower the BTU rating when you set the temperature below 44º F.

9. The probe for the temperature is installed in a copper ½” NPT well in the reservoir

near the outlet to the water pump. The thermocouple wire is the “K” type. You
must use this type of wire. You cannot use just any type of wire.

10. This unit is not weatherproof and should not be installed outdoors. Outdoor

installation is possible in some areas of the country. Please check with the factory
for more information.

11. The water pressure gauge is showing the water pressure at the discharge of the

water pump. For proper cooling, the water pump must be running.

INSTRUCTION FOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL

Please note the dial thermometer and thermostat are both an indicator of the chilled
water temperature. You will not necessarily find they both read the same temperature.
They are installed in a copper weld at the bottom of the chilled reservoir. We consider
the thermostat as the true chilled water temperature. This is the controller for cycling the
refrigeration system off and on.
