Operation and Indication
After the FOX AEX 108 and all associated devices are connected and powered on, the
system is fully operational.
Recessed Toggle Switch
The recessed toggle switch on the front panel switches the FOX AEX 108
between 2G and 4G input data rates. Move the toggle switch up for 2G input
data rates or down for 4G input data rates. The default rate is 4G.
NOTE: 4G and 2G data rates apply to all inputs. These selectable rates are
not for individual inputs.
After switching between 4G and 2G, cycle power to the FOX AEX 108 in order to properly
lock onto the selected input data rate.
CAUTION: Make sure all fiber extenders are compatible with the desired
data rate.
Indications
Tx Link and Rx Link LEDs — The optical Rx LED will light when the Rx box
receives light. The optical Tx LED will light when there is light presence on the Rx
side of the connector.
Audio Signal LEDs — Lights green when an audio signal above –35 dBV is
detected on the associated fiber input. The light will turn off after the audio
signal level drops below the threshold for 10 continuous seconds.
Power LED — Lights green when power is applied to the FOX AEX 108.
