Mounting
The sensor is mounted near the top of the well or container
where no tubes or cables obstruct the path between the
sensor and the surface of the liquid. The maximum di-
stance between the sensor and the surface of the liquid
must not exceed 10 m. The best performance is obtained
by placing the sensor 1 m above the maximum level
desired (high alarm level).
The sensor should be positioned at precisely
perpendicular to the liquid surface (using a spirit level).
There must allways be at least 75 cm from max level to the
bottom of the sensor.
Where a sensor is mounted above an obstruction ex. a
concrete deck, we recommend that it should be
installed as shown below:
If the upward edges cannot be angled as shown, the
width should be table value +100%.
When measuring through a hole in ex. a metal plate or
grate, a pipe that ends near the end of the sensor
should be applied as shown.

Set the selector switch to „ZERO LEVEL“. Measure the
distance from the lower edge of the sensor to the bottom of
the pump well and set this in centimetres on the ZERO
LEVEL potentiometer.
If the well is empty, the following method may be used:
Set the selector switch to position „LEVEL“. The sensor will
then be working against the bottom of the empty well. The
ZERO LEVEL potentiometer is now set to zero. To check
this setting, turn the selector switch to „ZERO LEVEL“ and
read the distance to the bottom in centimetres as
displayed.
