Serial Over LAN (SOL) 1. Check the BIOS remote console
setting. See section 2.4 for details.
2. Check if the firmware baud rate is
the same as the BIOS setting. See
section 2.5.1 Configuring the LAN
controller for details.
How to check if you’ve obtained correct
IP address from DHCP server
1. In BIOS setup program, set to DHCP
for the DHCP Mode item. Write down
the original IP address setting for
later use.
2. Press to save the changes
and exit the BIOS setup program.
3. Enter DOS environment, and then
run the ASMC2 utility. Key in
ASMC2 -bmc_info to check if a new
IP address has been assigned. See
section 2.5 for details.
