2.4 System memory
The motherboard comes with onboard dual-channel Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3)
memory chips. The DDR3 memory is developed for better performance with less
power consumption. The figure illustrates the location of the DDR3 memory:
This chipset officially supports DDR3 1066MHz. With the ASUS Super
Memspeed Technology, the motherboard natively supports up to DDR3
1333MHz and provides more ratio setting items than the chipset officially
supports. Refer to the table below for details.
It is recommended that you install a CPU with 1066MHz FSB or above to
guarantee the DDR3 memory to overclock above 1500MHz.
