96124RTF Streamline Big Block Chevrolet
Valve Cover.
Supplies Needed:
RTV Silicone
3/32” Allen Key
#271 Red Loctite® Thread Locker
Prep and finish valve cover as needed.
Remove polished trim pieces from packaging.
Place one external tooth lock washer on each
8-32 X 1/4 button head cap screw.
Apply #271 Red Loctite® to the threads of each
8-32 button head cap screw.
Place polished trim piece on valve cover and
seat into recess. Install 8-32 button head cap
screws and washers through inside of valve
cover and into trim piece. Do Not Over-Tighten!
Repeat for other valve cover.
Allow Loctite® to cure for a minimum of 1 hour
before proceeding to the next step.
Finish polished trim installation by applying a liberal
Dab of RTV silicone encasing the button head and
washer to the valve cover (see caption for example).
Allow RTV to fully cure before installing valve covers. RTV Silicone Example
