Start the programme „CNT“ in the folder 
„CNT“, and select the ComPort from the File 
pull down menu, used to connect to the 
Counter 
When the counter has been correctly connected 
with the supplied cable, the programme auto-
matically displays the current function set on the 
counter. See the example below.

To change language, use this sub-menu 
In the pull-down menu “File” the following is 
available: 
ComPort: 
Selection of the PC‘s Serial port
(COM-1 or COM-2). 
U21005 setup Data flow: 
Selection of
Start/Stop or Continuous data fl ow from the 
counter to the PC. Only active during IMPULSE 
COUNT and START A - STOP B. 
Language: 
Select the language.
Programme Information:
Displays the version
of the programme etc. If a counter is connected, 
the version of the instrument is also displayed. 
Exit: 
Exit programme.
In the menu “Function” all of the above de-
scribed measurement methods are available. 
The following keys can be used when IMPULSE 
COUNT or IMPULSE COUNT GM were chosen:

7. Care and maintenance
•
Before cleaning the counter, disconnect it 
from the mains. 
•
Use a soft, damp cloth to clean it.
 
 
8. Disposal
•
The packaging should be disposed of at 
local recycling points. 
•
Should you need to dispose of the counter 
itself, never throw it away in normal domes-
tic waste. Local regulations for the disposal 
of electrical equipment will apply.
