Flying insects, attracted by the UV light [A], land on the glue board located at the inside of the front

cover, get stuck and die from dehydration.

a. Mounting

Determine a proper mounting location. The insect killer should be mounted in a rather dark place

at a height of about 2m (out of reach of children). The device is not suitable to be used in a

garage, stable or similar (semi-outdoor) environment.

Note: a mains outlet is required near the mounting location.

Remove the lamp [A] from the socket [B] by gently pulling it out of the socket.

Screw the insect killer tightly against a wall using two screws [E]. Make sure the wall is capable

of supporting the weight of the insect killer.

Gently reseat the lamp [A] in the socket [B].

Hang the front cover over the hooks [F] of the insect killer.

b. Glue board

Remove the protective cover of the glue board and slide it with the sticky side facing the UV-

lamp in the front cover.

Replace the glue board on a regular basis. Spare glue board: GIK12GB (5 pcs).

c. Switching on/off

Connect the included power cable to the power socket [D].

Plug the other end of the cable into a suitable mains outlet to switch on the lamp.

To switch off the lamp, simply unplug the power cable from the mains.

d. Cleaning the device

Unplug the device from the mains.

Clean the insect killer regularly with a moist soft cloth. Do not use alcohol, abrasives or solvents.

Do not submerge into any liquid.

Make sure no dust accumulates on the UV lamps as this will greatly reduce their effectiveness.

e. replacing lamps and starters

When the lamp is worn, it must be replaced with a similar type (see technical specifications).

Unplug the device from the mains and remove the front cover.

Remove the UV-lamp [A] by gently pulling it out of the socket [B]. Pull straight and away from

the socket.

Plug a new UV-lamp into the socket.

To replace a starter [C], turn the starter a quarter turn anticlockwise and pull it out of the

socket. Insert a new starter with the same specifications (220-240V~, 4-65W) into the socket

and turn it a quarter turn clockwise to secure it.

Place the front cover back and reconnect the device to the mains power outlet.
