Product description

1 Product description

1.1 Function and configuration

VEGAKON compact level switches detect levels of
conductive liquids.

Annular electrode (3-elements), oscillator and power
supply form one unit. The modular construction of the
oscillator allows installation in virtually any application..

When the electrode is covered by the product, small

alternating currents (< 1 mA) flow from the meas.
electrode to the reference and neutralization electrode.

These alternating currents are measured in respect to
their amplitude and phase position and processed into
a switching signal.

Acc. to the oscillator (module) a relay gets energized
or de-energized or the transistor output is conductive
or blocked (mode A or B) see "4.1 Indicating and
operating elements".

Product build-up is eliminated via the neutralization
electrode; the conductivity is measured and the switch
point sensitivity is automatically adjusted.

VEGAKON can be therefore used for reliable detection
of products over a very wide conductivity and viscosity
range.
