3. OPERATION
3.1 Modes of Operation
There are three Modes of operation, Standard Weighing, Titration Test, and Data
Upload. The Titration Test Mode is also broken into 20 Test Types. Pressing
Mode/Test will advance to the next available Mode or Test Type.
Some Modes and Test Types may initially be unavailable. They can be enabled in the
Main menu Type [t.y.p.E], see section 4.
3.1.1 Standard Weighing Mode
Press Mode/Test until the g weighing is seen. Press Zero to zero the scale and place
objects to be weighed onto the pan. When using a container the Zero button may be
used similar to a Tare feature. Using a heavy container will limit the remaining
capacity of the scale.
3.1.2 Titration Test Mode
Press Mode/Test until the g

is seen. The

will represent a number corresponding
to an available Titration Test Type. (Refer to your GraviTek list of available Test
Types.) Repeatedly press Mode/Test until the required Titration Test Type number is
shown. Follow the step below to perform a Titration Test:
Note: During the Titration Test procedure it is important to allow the weight reading
to fully stabilize before pressing the Zero or Accept buttons. These buttons will not
operate until the reading has become stable. The appearance of the stability indicator
[
*
] shows the user that the reading stabilized.
1) Place an empty test cup on the scale pan. When the weight reading is stable
press the Zero button to Tare out the weight of the empty cup.
2) Pour the test sample into the cup. When the weight reading is stable press the
Accept button.
3) The Test Type number will begin flashing to show that the first weight
reading was accepted.
4) Remove the cup with the sample from the scale pan.
5) If required add the proper Indicator material to the sample. (Refer to your
GraviTek list of Indicator materials.)
