Data continuity across
the patient’s stay
The iCentral central station connects to GE patient monitors on the
S/5 and CARESCAPE monitoring networks, including the newest
generation of CARESCAPE monitors. Because it provides interoperability
across GE monitors, memory cards and networks, patients can be
moved between care areas throughout the hospital stay while
patient information is continuously collected.
When a patient is transferred between departments, the patient
record may be retrievable in the new location on iCentral. This helps
to create an integrated view of patient information and reduces
patient monitoring data gaps at the central station. Patient trends
from iCentral can also be sent to the bedside monitor for review
at the point of care.
