Memory meets mobility

As the EView is attached directly to the Engström, it is
able to collect patient data wherever Engström is used.
This allows the EView to continually
capture patient data, as the patient
moves throughout the hospital. This kind
of portable solution means you are no
longer in a position where data is lost
due to a patient’s clinical needs. As the
ventilator moves with the patient, EView
is there collecting information. EView
allows you to cut the cable that keeps
you constrained to monitoring only
at the patient’s bedside. The modularity
of EView also allows the device to
move from one Engström to another,
without the need for tools. This modularity
allows you to increase the collection of
data, as the clinical requirements of
your patient increases.

With the use of EView, the ability to retrieve and view
data is no longer restricted to a specific viewing station
or monitor. EView allows for the transmission of patient
data at anytime, anywhere with the simple insertion of a
USB flash drive or a SD card. Once inserted the EView will
transfer the desired preselected patient data.

EView is a device that attaches directly to the back of the
Engström, capturing all the output data of the ventilator.
Captured, this data is then available to the clinician for
downloading and viewing at any given time. EView offers
the ability to look back as far as seven days and recreate
the past, allowing for the evaluation and review of patient
information down to a breath-to-breath level. Detailed
information at this level can not only influence current
patient care, but also guide a clinician towards
developing specialized solutions to meet individual
and unique patient requirements.

The detail of the medical documentation provided by
EView is enhanced by the advanced monitoring
capabilities available within the Engström Carestation
ventilator. The Engström Carestation offers the ability
to monitor unique parameters, such as Functional
Residual Capacity (FRC), SpiroDynamics and Metabolics.
The EView allows for complete breath-to-breath data
capture of these parameters. All data from EView is
available in a format that is easily navigated with
pre-existing PC software. This allows for unique and
specific filtering of data and the ability to personalize
the format in which the data is displayed.

The importance of data is nowhere more significant than in patient
care. A patient’s well being can be greatly influenced by a clinician’s
ability to obtain data that accurately reflects a patient’s condition.
Too often, some of the most important indicators of a change in a
patient’s status can occur quickly, and then be lost forever in the
past. The ability to recreate the past has become an expectation in
the monitoring of a patient’s heart rate and other patient vital signs,
should we not have the same expectation of the data provided by
the ventilator?
