Precise contouring with ASiR
™
For targeting and contouring critical structures with confidence, rely
on GE’s industry-exclusive ASiR technique. As our advanced iterative
reconstruction technique, it enables reduction in image noise,
an image quality improvement.
ASiR provides greater contrast resolution, resulting in an improve-
ment in low-contrast resolution detectability (LCD) of up to 10%.
During treatment planning, these IQ improvements can improve
soft tissue visualization and the accuracy of target contours and
critical structures.
Alternatively, using ASiR, you can still obtain the same outstanding
image quality* at up to 40% lower CT dose.**

Exclusive microVoxel technology in the Discovery CT590 RT gives you
the optimum choice of reconstructed voxel size and sub-millimeter
slice thickness. This technology offers the ability to resolve smaller,
subtle structures, enabling more accurate contours and treatment
