Information Sharing
Centricity Clinical Archive enables secure, role-based access
to patient’s relevant clinical data at the point of care.
•
Single Patient Jacket interfaces within EMR for
physicians and clinicians. Centricity Clinical Archive
provides a robust catalog of patient information through
an IHE‑XDS‑based registry. This global index allows clinical
information to be accessed from anywhere there is an
internet connection, regardless of the actual location within
the enterprise. An IT system that is compliant with IHE‑XDS
can extract the information and present it to the provider.
•
Location agnostic “multi-ology” information access.
The clinical information viewer within Centricity Clinical
Archive is IHE‑XDS compatible and zero footprint, for
vendor-neutral, anytime, anywhere

access to information.
The viewer offers a highly intuitive matrix view of the
patient’s history, along with thumbnails for fast and easy
access. This enterprise viewer also supports industry-
standard LDAP protocol for access management.
Infrastructure Sharing
Centricity Clinical Archive provides a highly scalable,
standards compliant, and cloud-ready repository that
helps you consolidate and manage imaging and clinical
content across your enterprise.
•
Multi-ology, multi-site clinical content repository.
A truly standards‑based archive that supports DICOM,
IHE‑XDS and HL7 standards, providing multi‑level
neutrality (underlying IT infrastructure, application
and format neutrality) to ensure consistent clinical
data consolidation and presentation across systems.
Centricity Clinical Archive supports seamless expansion
from a single departmental repository to a single hospital
multi-ology repository, to a multi-site/multi-hospital
enterprise/community repository enabling consistency
within multiple patient identifier environments. Centricity
Clinical Archive provides logical separation of information
to help provide economies of scale.
•
Scalable & highly redundant infrastructure. Centricity
Clinical Archive provides unlimited storage and computing
expansion through virtualization and vendor agnostic
technologies. Centricity Clinical Archive offers a multi-site
load balanced architecture to ensure high availability and
disaster recovery.
•
Information Life Cycle Management. Centricity Clinical
Archive helps manage the complete life cycle of patient
clinical information using automated rules to move
to different tiers, compress (lossy/lossless), and delete
(beyond legal requirements) patient information
“There is opportunity to enhance the system with cardiology,
pathology, endoscopy, dermatology, ophthalmology—basically
all the ‘ologies.’ That’s the concept of the vendor-neutral archive:
We can scale out across hospitals using standards, and we can
also scale up within the functions of a hospital.”
