internet connection, a radiologist can work from
virtually anywhere and access images and reports
at almost any time.
The design of GE web-based PACS solution

GE Healthcare supplied a web-based PACS and RIS solution
to the Olympic and Paralympic Polyclinic for London 2012.
GE Centricity RIS/PACS web solution was used to manage
all the images and clinical data for competing athletes,
enabling faster diagnoses as clinicians were able to access
complete electronic patient records at the touch of a button
helping to allow athletes to return to peak performance if
they became injured during the competition. In addition, the
CD Production Unit allowed athletes to take their images and
reports home on CD after the Games.
