BOOST ON/OFF SELECTOR

On the right side of the 95Q you’ll find a red kick-switch.
The bottom plate will tell you which switch position is
ON and which is OFF. When the Boost selector is On,
the volume boost that you’ve set with the Volume knob is
active. With the Boost off, the Volume knob is inactive.

TIPS

The classic way to use a wah pedal is to rock your foot
to the beat; but this is only a one-dimensional use of
the effect. Try varying the rhythm of the wah to build a
full “vocabulary” of crying tones. A VERY SLOW move-
ment of the pedal during a fast solo can be especially
dramatic. Play with it…it’s not gonna break!

WHERE SHOULD YOU PUT THE CRYBABY IN YOUR
EFFECTS SIGNAL CHAIN? In most circumstances, your
guitar is plugged into the CRYBABY first, and other
effects come later. This keeps the wah tones pleas-
antly subtle, and adds the other effects’ tonal colors on
top of the wah sound. Putting the wah later (or last) in
the effects loop is much less subtle, and adds the wah
tones to ALL sounds, harmonics and all. This might be
desirable if you want the wah sound to be strong and
unmistakable. If you want your CRYBABY to quack like
a duck, plug it in after a distortion effect!

If the effect isn’t turning off completely, you may find
that your guitar cord (or another obstruction) is caught
in the heel portion of the pedal.

For longest battery life, be sure to UNPLUG YOUR
CORDS when the CRYBABY is not in use. Keeping the
cords unplugged tells the 95Q to stay switched off.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

The CRYBABY 95Q uses one 9-volt battery. The battery

access is through the bottom of the pedal. The 95Q uses

the Dunlop ECB-03 (ECB-03E for Europe), a 9-volt DC regu-

lated AC adapter. Plug polarity is positive on the barrel and

negative in the center. NOTE: Battery must be installed to

operate the 95Q unless an AC adapter is used.
