Extended 3 Bike Carrier/Extended 4 Bike Carrier

Contents of Box:

1 - BXJR117 or BXJR118 - Ex. 3 bike carrier or Ex. 4 bike carrier

(1) 229-0520 - 1/2" pin w/clip

(1) 62-3213 - 3/8" pin w/clip

To Install:

Slide the appropriate mounting base on either the towbar

receiver tube or the BX88160 receiver extension with the open

slots towards the rear of the vehicle. Then pin the towbar

or extension into the hitch receiver of the vehicle. Once the

mounting base is located in the correct spot, tighten the hex

bolt on the side of the mounting base. Place the BXJR117 OR

BXJR118 into the mounting base, making sure the pegs slide

into the open slots of the mounting base. Then secure the bike

rack to the mounting base using the 3/8" and 1/2" pins w/clips.

Loosen the knobs at the top of the rack, then place the bikes in

the appropriate locations. Note: Some bikes may need a ladies/

juniors bike adapter (BXJR102) for mounting to the bike rack.

Once the bikes are positioned, replace the top mount plate and

tighten the knobs to secure the bikes. NOTE: To deter theft

use one lock knob (BXJR103) on the top of the bike rack, one

padlock on one of the two pins that secure the bike rack to

the mount base, and the receiver extension or towbar should

also be locked into the vehicle's hitch. NOTE: If a complete

receiver mount (BXJR107) is used, the mounting bases aren't

necessary.

CAUTION:

Insure security of all locking bolts and pins.

Insure bikes are locked in place with top plate and screw down knobs.

Inspect bike rack and tow bar periodically during trip.

Use caution with sharp turns and when backing up with trailer in place.
