Interfacing
The following formats are supported for connection of
external devices.
Garmin Proprietary Sentences—PGRME (estimated
error), PGRMM (datum string), PGRMZ (altitude).
The NMEA 0183 version 3.01 interface format is
supported by the GPSMAP 76CSx and enables the
unit to drive up to three NMEA devices.
The following are the sentences for NMEA 0183,
version 3.01 output:
Approved sentences—GPGGA, GPGLL, GPGSA,
GPGSV, GPRMB, GPRMC, GPRTE, GPVTG,
GPWPL, GPBOD, GPAPB
The USB Interface Cable provided with this unit
allows you to connect your GPSMAP 76CSx to a PC-
compatible computer’s USB port.
The Advanced NMEA Setup
Page, accessed from the
Interface Setup Page Optons
Menu allows you to enable or
dsable NMEA sentences, set
waypont ID’s and the precson
of Lat/Lon mnutes.
