Changing the System
Settings
On the Menu page, touch >
system .
Waas/Engos—enable and disable
WAAS/
for information.
safe Mode—turn on or off Safe Mode.
When your vehicle is moving, Safe
Mode disables all functions that require
significant operator attention and could
become a distraction while driving.
garmin lock—turn on Garmin Lock
™
to lock your nüvi. Enter a 4-digit PIN,
and set a security location. For more
information, see page 6 .
touch tones—disable or enable the
tone that sounds each time you touch the
screen.
simulator—turns on or off simulator
mode. When simulator mode is on you
can simulate driving a route.
about—display your nüvi’s software
version number, unit ID number, and
audio version number. You need this
information when you update the system
software (see page 39 ) or purchase
additional map data (see page 41 ).
restore—restore the system settings.

To change a setting, touch the button
next to the icon.
To change all settings, touch
