9. Commissioning
»
Open a downstream draw-off valve until the appliance has filled
up and the pipes are free of air.
»
Adjust the flow rate. For this observe the maximum permissible
flow rate with a fully opened tap (see chapter "Specification /
Data table"). If necessary reduce the flow rate at the butterfly
valve of the safety assembly.
»
Carry out a tightness check.
»
Switch the mains power ON if required.
»
Check the function of the fitted special accessories.
»
Check the function of the safety assembly.
10. Taking the appliance out of use
»
Disconnect the appliance from the mains at the MCB / fuse in
the fuse box.
»
Drain the appliance. See chapter "Maintenance / Draining the
appliance".
11. Recommissioning
See chapter "Commissioning".
12. Appliance handover
»
Explain the appliance function to users and familiarise them
with its operation.
»
Make users aware of potential dangers, especially the risk
of scalding.
»
Hand over these instructions.
13. Troubleshooting
13.1 Fault table
fault
Cause
» remedy
The safety valve drips
when the heating is
switched off.
The valve seat is
contaminated.
Clean the valve seat.
14. Maintenance
Danger of electrocution!
Before any work on the appliance, disconnect all poles
from the power supply.
If you need to drain the appliance, observe chapter "Draining the
appliance".
14.1 checking the safety valve
»
Regularly vent the safety valve on the safety assembly until a
full water jet is discharged.
»
Close the safety valve when the check is complete.
14.2 Draining the appliance
Risk of scalding!
Hot water can be expelled during draining
If the cylinder needs to be drained for maintenance or to protect
it against the risk of frost, proceed as follows:
»
Close the shut-off valve in the cold water line.
»
Open the DHW valves on all draw-off points.
»
Drain the appliance via the drain valve.
SB 302 S and SB 402 S
Residual water will remain in the cold water supply pipe.
14.3 replacing the signal anode
»
Replace the signal anode if it becomes depleted. Observe the
maximum permissible resistance between the anode and the
cylinder (see chapter "Specification / Data table").
SB 302 S and SB 402 S
Segmented signal anode, part number 143498
SB 602 ac and SB 1002 ac
Signal anode, part number 140921
»
If it is not possible to fit an anode rod from above, install a
segmented signal anode.
Segmented signal anode, part number 143499
SB 650/3 ac
Segmented signal anode, part number 143499
14.4 Descaling the electric flanged immersion heater
»
Do not use a descaling pump.
»
Only descale the electric flanged immersion heater after
disassembly and never treat the cylinder surface and signal
anode with descaling agents.
For the torque of the flange screws, see chapter "Specification /
Data table".
14.5 replacing the heating element and
protective pipe
»
Install the electrically insulated heating element and protective
pipes into the flange plate.
