Winding the tape

button.

or fast wind

wind the tape.

Note
When the tape is wound to the end, this unit will then function
as described below, according to the setting of the reverse
MODE selector button.

: The tape stops at the end.

: When the tape reaches the end, playback

automatically starts from the reverse side.

Searching for the beginning of a
desired selection

Carry out the following operation during playback to find the
beginning of a desired selection on the tape.

To listen to the same selection
Press the

button if the direction of the current playback

is .
Press the

button if the direction of the current playback

is .

To listen to the next selection
Press the

button if the direction of the current playback

is .
Press the

button if the direction of the current playback

is .

Notes

This function may not work for tapes with

*

Material with long pauses or quiet passages.

*

Low recording levels or excessive noise.

*

Pauses of less than 4 seconds between selections.

If searching is carried out at the first or the last part of a
selection, the desired selection may not be found.

Direct operation

When the power is off (in the standby mode), pressing the
TAPE 1/2 input selector button or the play button will turn the
power on and start playback of the selected tape
automatically.
When the power is on, even if an input source other than tape
deck is selected, pressing the play button (or the fast wind
button) will start playback (or fast winding) directly.

Notes

When removing the tape, press the stop

button, and

then open the cassette compartment.

Even if you press the TAPE 1/2 input selector button on
the front panel or the TAPE 1/2 button on the remote
control transmitter during playback, the playback of
currently selected tape cannot be changed to the other
one though the tape number indicator on the display
changes.
