CLEANING THE
PRINT HEAD
A cleaning using the Cleaning Cards usually suf-
fices. However, a separate Print Head cleaning
using swabs can remove more stubborn
deposites when print anomolies persist. To
avoid deposits, only use foam-tipped swabs.
Never use a sharp object to scrape deposites
from the print head. Permanent damage will re-
sult.

1. Raise Print Head and remove the
Ribbon.
2. Clean Print Head by moving
alcohol-moistened swab tip side-to-
side across Print Head elements.
Only use moderate force. (To
reorder swabs see Appendix C.)
