OPERATING EXTERNAL UNITS CONNECTED WITH THIS UNIT

To listen to or watch a source on an

external unit connected with this

UNIT

Select the position of input source (TAPE

MD, AUX, VCR

or LD

TV) you will play back by turning the INPUT

SELECTOR until the corresponding name appears on the
display.

The names of input source positions correspond with
the names of terminals to connect with external units
on the rear of this unit.

Play back the source.
(For a video source, turn the monitor TV on.)

Adjust the volume to a desired level by using the
VOLUME control.
If you prefer, use the graphic equalizer and/or the sound
field processor built into this unit.

To record a source to tape

Not only a source played back on this unit, but also a source
played back on an external unit can be recorded by the tape
deck, VCR, DAT, etc. connected with this unit.

Select the source to be recorded by turning the INPUT
SELECTOR.

Play back the source and then turn the VOLUME control
up to confirm the input source.

Begin recording on the tape deck or VCR etc. connected
with this unit.

Note
If the built-in graphic equalizer and/or sound field processor
is used, its effect is recorded along with the source when you
make recording on the recording unit connected to the
TAPE

MD terminals on the rear of this unit.

However, the effect of the graphic equalizer and/or sound
field processor cannot be recorded when you make recording
on the external recording unit connected to the VCR
terminals on the rear of this unit.
