UPnP media server alternatives.
It's very possible that some people really don't like Musicmatch Jukebox and feel more at
home with a different media application. That's why we would like to introduce a number of
alternatives that were available at the time of printing.

Available both as a command-line ver-
sion and as a Winamp plugin. Unfortu-
nately a number of problems with um-
lauts and few configuration options.
TwonkeyVision MediaServer
Requires the .net Framework and Win-
dows XP Service Pack 2. Even permits the
precise administration of which device is
allowed to access which media. Runs in
the background continuously as a system
service. Unfortunately, it also displays
files that cannot be reproduced by the
NOXON.
MediaConnect for Windows Media Player
A media server is also available as a part
of the well-known burner tool. Doesn't
get along with umlauts very well, but
permits the file types to be displayed by
the NOXON to be specified precisely.
