HIGH IMAGE QUALITY

Toshiba has taken image quality to new heights, carefully considering the
feedback and opinions of our MFP users to bring about further refinement in the
e-STUDIO232/282, including:

Higher Image Reproduction Quality

As well as taking advantage of Toshiba’s original image processing technology,
successful reduction of size of the micrograins in the toner and developer has resulted
in higher image reproduction quality levels.

Sharper and Smoother Copied Text and Graphics

Digital copiers are well known for their excellent reproduction of characters and
graphics, and thanks to Toshiba’s original Serial Filter and Sharp Edge Processing
technology, every printout of the e-STUDIO232/282 provide superb image quality
with crystal clear rendition of even handwritten text and signatures written in
pencil. Edges are supremely sharp for both copied text and graphics, resulting in
heightened quality.

Image Adjustments (Background, Sharpness)

Besides the more common contrast adjustment of copy image quality, users can
further improve the output by adjusting both background and sharpness through a
simple operation on the Control Panel.

Original Modes

A broad selection of Original Modes ensures optimum copy image quality regardless
of the type of the original. Users can just use the standard exposure setting in the
default Text/Photo Mode or manually select between Text, Photo or Custom Mode
settings, which can be registered according to specific user needs.

Printer Driver

The e-STUDIO232/282 come with an additional mode for improving print quality
even further. Through the PCL6

®

driver, users can select Detail mode for text and

Smooth mode for pictures. And from the PostScript

®

3™ driver, users have the option

of choosing Auto mode, which automatically determines the mode to use depending
on the type of document, assuring the highest print quality at all times.
