The Kantech
™
IP Link makes it easy and affordable to
manage your Kantech access control system over a
network.
Unlike similar devices, the IP Link manages polling
of door controllers and communicates with the
EntraPass Gateway only when an event has occurred.
Communication integrity is ensured through a heartbeat
signal, which is sent at a regular interval to the EntraPass
software. This asynchronous communication significantly
reduces the amount of bandwidth required to manage
your access control system over the network.
The IP Link is easy to set up. Use an EntraPass
workstation, a web browser or the KT-Finder, an
intuitive standalone application designed to locate
and configure the IP Link.
In most installations, EntraPass software
automatically detects and configures the IP Link
using the MAC address.
The IP Link uses 128-bit AES encryption to
communicate with EntraPass, which ensures secure
communication when used over the Internet.
The IP Link leverages Kantech’s robust portfolio of
KT-controllers to offer a powerful security solution for
any size application. The EntraPass access control
system can control access for one door to thousands
of doors and, with the IP Link, can effortlessly
communicate over an existing network.
