Speaker icons display and size

• If the speaker is connected, display the corresponding icon on-screen. If it is not connected, delete

the icon.

• If the speaker is capable of reproducing low frequencies (<100 Hz), select the large icon.
• If the speaker provides poor quality at low frequencies (<100 Hz), select the smaller icon.
• If the subwoofer is not connected, select the large icon for the front speakers (LH/RH).

Note: The speaker icon size setting (large/small) has no effect on DVD discs in
MPEG 2 Multichannel Audio.

Delay between speakers

• Delay settings allow you to adjust the virtual space between front and rear speakers. This means

you can reproduce the sound space of a movie in your home.

• If the surround speakers or the central speaker cannot be installed at the same distance from the

listening position as the front speakers, change the delay to obtain a better surround effect.

• If the distance (D2) from the listening position to the central speaker or the distance (D3) from the

listening position to the surround speakers is greater than or equal to the distance (D1) from the
listening position to the front speakers, no adjustments are required. Otherwise, adjust the settings
according to the chart below:

speaker from (-6 dB) to (0 dB)*.

3.
