Connecting a cable converter box and a VCR

With this connection you can:

• watch videotapes

• watch and record basic and premium

cable channels

• record one channel while

watching the same or another
non-premium channel

Tune the VCR to channel
3 or 4 (whichever channel is vacant
in your area), place the TV in
VIDEO 1 mode, and then use the
converter box to change channels.

You will need:

• one cable signal splitter

• four coaxial cables

• one set of standard A/V cables (If your

VCR has S-video, you can use an S-video
cable instead of the standard video cable. See
“Note Regarding Picture Quality” on page 7.)

Note:

If you have a mono VCR, connect TV L/Mono Audio IN
to VCR Audio OUT using only one audio cable.

When you use a cable converter box with your TV, you
may not be able to use the remote control to program
certain features (for example, blocking channels).
