Using the GAME TIMER feature (V-Chip control)
You can use the GAME TIMER feature to automatically activate the
VIDEO LOCK feature, to set a time limit for playing a video game
(30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes).
To set the game timer:
1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the SET UP menu
appears.
2. Press y or z to highlight V-CHIP CONTROL, and then
press •. The PIN code entering screen opens.
3. Use the Channel Number keys to enter your PIN code. The
V-CHIP CONTROL menu opens.
4. Press y or z to highlight GAME TIMER.
5. Press x or • to select the amount of time until the game timer is
activated (VIDEO LOCK)—30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes.

After the game timer is set, the screen will display the amount of time
left on the game timer.
To turn off the game timer:
Highlight OFF in step 5 above.
Using the NEW PIN CODE feature (V-Chip control)
Use this feature to create a new PIN code.
1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the SET UP menu
appears.
2. Press y or z to highlight V-CHIP CONTROL, and then
press •. The PIN code entering screen opens.
3. Use the Channel Number keys to enter your PIN code. The
V-CHIP CONTROL menu opens.

4. Press y or z to highlight NEW PIN CODE.
5. Press the Channel Numbers (0–9) to enter a new 4-digit code.

Note:
You need to know your current PIN code to
use the NEW PIN CODE feature. If you do
not remember your current PIN code, press
RECALL four times within 5 seconds while
the PIN code entering screen is displayed.
This clears the existing PIN code and enables
you to select a new PIN code.
Note:
To watch a VIDEO source after the game
timer has activated the video lock, you will
need to set the VIDEO LOCK feature to OFF
(see page 34).
