Characters
You can change the setting of the display
character to match the character code of the
text file stored in the [TEXT] folder. In order to
have the recorder read out the text file created
in diverse environments, change the character
code if necessary.

From the [Home] menu display
select [Audiobooks], and then
press the
`OK or 9 button.
• When
[Accessibility] (
☞ P.76) is set to
[On], select [Text Speech].

In the Book list display, press the
F3 (MENU) button.
• When
[Accessibility] is set to [On],
press the F3 (Menu) button in the file
display.

+ or − button to select
[Book Menu], and then press the
`OK or 9 button.

[Accessibility] is set to [On],
select [Text Speech Menu].

[Characters], and then press the
`OK or 9 button.

Denotes chapters, sections,
paragraphs, etc. in DAISY
contents.
Example: [Level 1] is
equivalent to chapters,
[Level 2] is equivalent to
sections, and [Level 3] is
equivalent to paragraphs.
[Group]
A portion within a section
is called a group. Groups
are sometimes set for the
beginning and end of
diagram explanations.
[Page]
Equivalent to the page
of book.
[Sentence]
When reading a text
aloud, a breathing
interval is created at the
punctuation between
sentences. The audio
between this interval and
the next interval is called a
“Sentence”.
[Phrase]
The recorder will skip
a word, phrase, or an idiom.
[Bookmark]
Indicates a location where
an index mark (bookmark)
is set.
Note
• Depending on the DAISY contents, there
are cases where there is no location
corresponding to a dividing interval.
