The LCD reporting screen in the XRT1000 and above UPS’s allows much
more flexibility in communicating faults to you, and therefore has two
classes of fault messages. The first occurs when the unit is initially turned
on as explained above, and the second is if a fault is detected during
normal operation or testing.

The Initial Error Message can be cleared by pressing any button. If the
fault is cleared, then the fault existed from a prior shutdown. If the fault is
not cleared then the fault presently exists. If the previous fault was due to
a low battery condition and the AC line returns to normal, the UPS will
automatically re-supply power to your equipment. In the XRT1000 and
above units, you may prevent the automatic return to power by setting the
Auto Restart to OFF in the Setup menu described earlier.
