WAP over GPRS
With GPRS you can be always-on
•
You can continuously use your favorite information and entertainment
services - services are perceived faster than with traditional GSM phones
•
You pay only for the time data is being transferred, as GPRS radio resources
are only needed while transferring the message (+monthly subscription)
GPRS utilizes packet switching technology where information is transmitted
in short bursts of data over an IP-based network. This means:
•
continuous IP connectivity
•
quick session set up
•
fast data transmission speeds
At its best, GPRS is invisible, allowing the user to concentrate
on the task at hand rather than on the technology
GPRS brings IP-based services to the mobile mass market
Club Nokia offers many easy to use applications such as
ringing tone download, gaming level download etc.
