Setting a Destination to a Place
Ⅲ After saying “NAVIGATION”, the command
“PLACES” allows you to select a nearby place
category. The category selection will show the 5
nearest places of the chosen category.
Ⅲ To customize this list, please refer to the OTHER
SETTINGS section of your Navigation Owner’s
Manual.
DISPLAYING THE USER GUIDE TUTORIALS
You can confirm how to use voice recognition by accessing a simplified User Guide. The
guide contains basic instructions for using voice recognition, and tutorials for several voice
commands.

2. Highlight [Voice Recognition] and press
3. Highlight [User Guide] and press
4. Highlight the desired topic and press
begin the tutorial.
ALTERNATE COMMAND MODE
For advanced operation, you can change to an Alternate Command Mode that enables the
control of the audio system and climate control through voice recognition. Additional
commands are also available for phone and navigation systems. When this mode is active,
the expanded list of commands can all be spoken after pushing the
switch, and the voice
command menu prompts are turned off.

2. Highlight [Others] and press
3. Highlight [Voice Recognition] and press
4. Highlight [Alternate Command Mode] and press
5. To confirm the new mode, push the
switch.
6. Verify that the screen changes to the one shown here.
Ⅲ The system will stop speaking and show all avail-
able commands.
Ⅲ Only the commands shown on the right will remain
as reminders.
Ⅲ Review the new command lists in the Owner’s
Manual, as some commands have been replaced.
