Use
Send DTMF
to send DTMF tone strings.

Locking the keypad
You can lock the keypad to avoid accidental keypresses, for example, when the phone is in your
handbag, or to avoid unauthorised use of your phone.
To avoid accidental keypresses:
• Press
Menu
and then
quickly in standby mode. OR:
You can also set the phone to automatically lock the keypad if the phone has not been used for a
certain length of time: Press
Menu
in standby mode and select
Settings
,
Keyguard settings
,
Automatic keyguard
and
On
. Key in the delay time in minutes and seconds, and press
OK
. The
keypad lock is turned on when the phone is in standby mode.
• To unlock the keypad: Press
Unlock
and then
quickly in standby mode.
To avoid unauthorised use of your phone:
• First, activate the keyguard code: Press
Menu
in standby mode and select
Settings
,
Keyguard
settings
and
Keyguard code
. Key in the security code and press
OK
. Select
On
.
Then, lock the keypad: Press
Menu
and then
quickly in standby mode.
• To unlock the keypad: Press
Unlock
in standby mode. Key in the security code and press
OK
.
When the keypad is locked:
• The indicator
is shown.
• To answer a call, press
, When you end or reject a call, the keypad will be automatically locked.
• The HDC-5 headset can be used normally.
