16 Taking pictures
Take a picture
1. If the self-timer option is Off , and once the
camera was activated, press the camera key to
take a picture.
2. The number that appears shows its row. Press:
3. Slide the camera door closed to deactivate the
camera without saving the picture.
4. The number of pictures you can save varies
according to the settings: the higher the
resolution, the bigger the file size. A message will
warn you if there isn’t enough memory left. In
this case, you must delete data before storing a
new picture (see “Memory status” page 56).
When they are saved in the Picture album, the pictures
are named «img_1.jpg», etc., up to 9999. This does
not mean you can take up to 9999 pictures, but that
pictures are numbered up to 9999. Numbering will
then restart from 1 on.
Use the self-timer
1. Set the self-timer option On (see above), then
press the camera key to activate it (or press 0
if the option is Off ).
2. Put the phone down and orient it for the picture
to be correctly framed.
3. The countdown starts at 10 seconds (this value
cannot be changed). A sound is played 3 seconds
before the picture is taken, then again when it’s
actually shot.

to stop the timer and go back to preview
mode or press
0
to just stop the timer.
4. Once the picture is shot, follow the instructions
starting at point 2 described in “Take a picture”.

Foto Talk: use the Clip mode
The Clip mode allows you to make a clip made of a
picture and a sound.

To ignore the picture you have just taken
and go back to preview mode.
