CD PLAYER
OPEN: When you open the CD compartment.
rEAd: When the CD player scans the contents of a CD
– Total track number and playing time: in stop mode
no diSc: when no disc inserted, or error in CD operation or with
the CD (see Troubleshooting)
– Current track number and elapsed playing time: during CD
playback. In PAUSE position, the display freezes and the
elapsed playing time flashes.

: appears briefly before playing a random track when you
select
SHUFFLE
mode / skip to the next or previous track(s) in
SHUFFLE
mode
PROGRAM
: flashes when you program tracks
ProG: and the number (1-20) indicating the position of a selected
track within a program
FULL: no further tracks can be programmed
CLr: when you cancel a CD program
– Playing time and total number of programmed tracks: in stop
position or at the end of a CD program.
1. Press the CD TAPE TUNER button repeatedly until the CD
mode is displayed.
2. Press OPEN•CLOSE to open the CD player compartment
3. Insert the CD, printed side facing up and press
OPEN•CLOSE to close the CD door.
4. Start playback by pressing PLAY•PAUSE
2;.
5. To interrupt playback, press PLAY•PAUSE
2;. Press
PLAY•PAUSE
2; again to continue playback.
6. Press STOP
9 to stop CD playback.
7. To switch off the set press the POWER button.
Note: CD playback will also stop when:
–
the CD door is opened;
–
the CD has reached the end;
–
you press the CD TAPE TUNER button to TAPE or
TUNER mode;
–
you press the POWER button
