Network-Scanning Discussion
Overall, the Panasonic WORKiO DP-C401’s network-scanning capability is not as extensive as that of some other
systems. The WORKiO DP-C401 provides scan-to-FTP sites and scanning to Internet Services’ mailboxes. Users
scan to Internet Services’ mailboxes by either selecting a particular mailbox at the touch screen, or by selecting a
pre-configured Job Template at the touch screen. At the desktop, users may retrieve the scanned document by
either using Internet Services, or by “pulling” documents into their software application. Unlike some other digital
copier/printers, it does not provide scan-to-e-mail, scan-to-fax or network scanning “on the fly” (
i.e., users cannot
enter a new scanning destination at the device’s control panel ).
