Engine Oil Check
Maintain the oil level within the safe range on
the dipstick. Do not overfill.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Remove the dipstick. Wipe it dry with a
clean cloth.
3. Reinstall the dipstick completely.
4. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level.
Tip: A rising oil level between checks in cool weather
driving can indicate contaminants such as gas or
moisture collecting in the crankcase. If the oil level
is over the full/safe mark, change the oil immedi-
ately.
5. Add the recommended oil as needed.
6. Reinstall the dipstick.
