8.2 WLAN settings
To use the Dual mode phone, you can use different WLAN profiles. To setup
the profile with security rule used, the corresponding WLAN-AP (access point)
information should be given. When you are in the WLAN area and have a
predefined profile, select the profile, DP-L10 will register to the WLAN
automatically.
8.2.1 Select WLAN Profile
Before you set the access to WLAN network, select a profile, and check if the
profile is set and active.
A WLAN network can be added either when the network is detected (the
Network Indicator icon is showing in the idle screen) or manually by entering
setting information.
1. Press OK key ( Menu ) > Scroll down key ( WLAN ) > OK key
> Scroll down key ( WLAN Settings )
2. Press OK key ( Active settings ) to select a profile
All Profile : The submenu set the All Profile from Active settings.
- Home : when you set a WLAN in house, use this profile and save the
Home-WLAN info.
- Office : when you set a WLAN in office, use this profile and save the
Office-WLAN info.
- Hotspot : Set the WLAN in the Hotspot when you have the operator of the
Hotspot.
- Profile 4 to 5 : you can still take 2 more profile in use. Press OK key.
You can change the profile title/name, read the Chapter WLAN Profile
Rename.
Information:
Use this profile only when you want DP-L10 to select the profile automatically.
When you want to set one profile for one AP, do not select the profile (All
profile)
