Changing map and route settings
The Map/Route Settings menu allows you to change the settings that determine
the map orientation, U turn usage, system units automatic zoom and large labels.

In the Settings menu, tap Map/Route Settings. The Map/Route
Settings menu opens.
Route Select
Fastest or Shortest for your desired
route. For driving, the Faster setting usually
selects the best route and optimizes the use
of highways while minimizing unnecessary
turns. The Shorter setting allows you to
reach your destination in the shortest
distance, using as many turns as required
to approximate a safe route between your
location and the destination. This setting is
best for the Pedestrian mode.
U-Turn enabled
Adds U-turn as an option for driving
directions.
System units
Allows you to specify miles or kilometers for
driving directions.
Map Orientation
(2D mode only)
Forward is up: Orients the map so that your
forward direction is always at the top.
North is up: Orients the map so that north is
always at the top
Use Automatic Zoom
Automatically zooms in on the route as you
get close to a turn, then returns to the zoom
level you have set.
Use Larger Labels
Increases the size of street names to make
the map easier to read.

Done to save the settings.
