Cleaning and Storage
Storage Tips
Fluid Levels
Inspect the fluid levels. Change fluids as recommended in the Periodic
Maintenance Chart beginning on page 70.
• Front demand drive unit (front gearcase)
• Rear gearcase (if equipped)
• Transmission
• Brake fluid (change every two years and any time the fluid looks dark
or contaminated)
• Coolant (test strength/fill)
Stabilize the Fuel
1. Fill the fuel tank.
2. Add Polaris Carbon Clean Fuel Treatment or Polaris Fuel Stabilizer.
Follow the instructions on the container for the recommended
amount.
NOTE: Carbon clean will also reduce the possibility of bacterial growth in the
fuel system.
3. Allow the engine to run for 15-20 minutes to allow the stabilizer to
disperse through the fuel in the tank.
Oil and Filter
Change the oil and filter. See page 78.
Air Filter / Air Box
1. Inspect and clean (or replace) the pre-cleaner and air filter.
2. Clean the air box.
3. Drain the sediment tube.
Recoil Housing
Drain the recoil housing. See page 97.
